But Ranger Creek (Or, Danger Creek) was my little track growing up, when I was less concerned about tickets and wrecks and all about that apex. This was a sweet, nearly abandoned back country road with plenty of elevation changes, hill carved sections, some on/off camber corners, and some damn pretty sights. I could usually get my 03 corolla within a hairline of 100mph on a few stretches, and would 'canyon duel' my buddy in his panther (corolla'd win, btw)
Looks like they've created a few connecting roads, allowing for a full actual loop. Think I found something to do on my next homecoming

Kinda sorta. Just outside Boerne, maybe 1-2 hrs east of Leakey right near SA

when I lived in SA, all those roads were so rad. Elevation changes, long sweepers, and some minor cliff hugging.
Keep an eye out for bikers

gotta love the hill country, all the best roads are right outside SA.
Cyclists loved Ranger Creek too, last 6 months I lived in Boerne it was like tour de france once a fortnight on that road. God I miss those roads. Waco is so flat Sir Mix-A-Lot just hangs his head in disappointment

lol right? Houston is far worse. I lived in SA for 4 years. My weekends we all about giving the Hill Country my tire's tread.
Good thing I had a stack of take off tires (with semi good tread) at work. Put them on Friday, replace and align every monday lol.
